The E-Mitter Telemetry System allows you to continuously monitor temperature, gross motor activity and heart rate of mice, rats and other small animals. Because the Emitter Telemetry System operates without batteries and can be implanted for up to 2 years, high costs and downtime due to explantation, refurbishment and re-implantation are avoided.
E-Mitter Telemetry Implants
E-Mitters are small, wireless, battery-free telemetry implants for use with mice and rats. E-Mitters are powered by capturing energy from electrical fields generated by the ER-4000 Energizer/Receiver

E-Mitters do not require any refurbishments or calibration during their 2-year lifespan. The E-Mitter Telemetry System is perfect for any short or long-term studies.
E-Mitters are powered by capturing energy from electrical fields generated by the ER-4000 Energizer/Receiver. This allows the E-Mitter to operate without a battery and remain implanted indefinitely or to be reused in multiple animals over its 2-year functional lifespan.
G2 E-MITTER
The G2 E-Mitter is the smallest E-Mitter we offer and measures 15.5mm x 6.5mm. Because of its small size, it is useful for measuring core body temperature and gross motor activity in mice. |

G2 HR E-MITTER
At 19.5 x 6.5mm, the G2 HR E-Mitter has the ability to monitor heart rate, core body temperature and gross motor activity in mice and rats ranging from 25 to 250 grams. |

PTD 4000 E-MITTER
The PDT 4000 E-Mitter dimensions are 23mm x 8mm and will provide core body temperature and gross motor activity in rats with a weight range of 250 – 900 grams. |

PDT 4000 HR E-MITTER
The PDT 4000 HR E-Mitter dimensions are 26mm x 8mm. This transponder allows you to measures heart rate, core body temperature and gross motor activity in rats with a weight range of 250 – 900 grams. |

ER4000 Energiser / receiver
The ER4000 Energizer/Receiver provides power to and receives measurement data back from implanted E-Mitters. It conveniently fits under most standard lab animal cages and can work together with our Mouse and Rat running wheels.

The ER4000 Receiver is a required component for our Emitter-Telemetry System where you can only assign one (1) Emitter per one (1) Receiver during an active data collection for single-housed type rodents.
You can randomly assign any Emitter to a Receiver by updating the Vital View Telemetry Data Acquisition software prior to the start of a new data collection.

VitalView® Telemetry Data Acquisition Software allows you to monitor and record data in real-time when using Starr Life Science’s E-Mitter® Telemetry Implant on a 24-7 basis

VitalView® Telemetry software allows you to configure the experiment and data collection parameters when using the Emitter Telemetry Implants. The software manages communications with the hardware and stores and displays basic graphical data analysis. It also provides descriptive statistics and prepares the data for export.
VitalView® is a convenient PC/Windows-based platform designed to monitor an entire suite of parameters. Built-in flexibility permits user-defined sampling size, data filtering, and epoch lengths.
