Three Channel Vascular Access Button™ for Rats
This implantable button for rats connects three independent fluid channels simply by engaging the mating tether. It is the same size as the one- and two-channel rat Vascular Access Buttons™. Connect three 3Fr catheters to the 22ga inputs under the felt disk. The small ports, red, white blue, can be accessed manually using a syringe fitted with a PNP3M injector.
The mating tether snaps into the button with magnets to minimize the force on the animal. Connect a 25ga dual channel swivel for continuous to two lines or a single channel swivel for continuous access to one; access the other lines through PinPorts at the top of the tether for intermittent sampling or dosing.
Group housing is possible with the optional aluminum cap (VABRC). A loop connector (VABR3L) is available for bile duct / duodenum catheterizations; it connects the white and blue ports. The three-channel button can be implanted by animal vendors as a surgical service so that the animal arrives at your site ready to use.
